Wines were generally nothing special, but the food exceeded expectations. The 1999 Rioja was quite good however.

Pale gold color. Nose has a little fusil, lemon, minerals, light florals. The palate has fusil, citrus, mineral, spice, white pepper, melon, medium finish. Nice acid.

Bright strawberry color. 90% sangiovese/10% merlot. Nose is floral, herbs, muted minerals. The palate is a little tangy, earth, spice, somewhat aromatic, muted cherry. Not bad but pretty average.

Very pale gold color. Nose has light fusil, apricot, peach, pineapple. The palate is tangy, tart, tropical fruit, citrus, mineral. This not bad, but it is a bit too tart with acids biting a bit and a somewhat bitter edge on the finish. 87+pts.
