Obviously tired with rotten fruit, musty aromas and undergrowth on the nose. Medium-bodied with fully resolved tannins, fading fruit, mushrooms and musty scents. Way past its best.
Much healthier than the 2000. Medium to dark brick color with browning on the rim. Evolved nose with leather, tobacco, espresso roast, cherry and herbal scents. Medium-bodied with fully resolved tannins, mature fruit and balancing acidity. Med+ aftertaste. Past its peak but absolutely drinkable.
