  • 2006 Köfererhof Sylvaner 88 Points

Italy, Trentino-Alto Adige, Alto Adige, Valle Isarco / Eisacktaler

Tasted blind. Nice subtle nose of mineral and citrus fruits. Light and supple palate, with gentle acidity and a touch of elegant. Showing flinty mineral charater and some citrusy. Overall a nice approachable white with a mellow mouthfeel showing 4-5 yrs of age. But quite a let down by its short finishing.

  • 2000 Capannelle Solaré 90 Points

    Italy, Tuscany, Toscana IGT

Double decanted at home for 30mins before I poured it back into bottle and bring it for the wine lunch.
Dark ruby core, densely colored with crimson hue. Nose of dark plum, sour cherry, roast herbs in a mellow tone with some earthiness. Showing well on palate compare to my recent experience, medium rich entry with dark cherry and plum. Nice acidity, smooth and mellow but a bit lack of secondary development. Medium+ finish, fine tannins with a soft grip. Drinking nicely now but it does not impress me as much as my first experience with 2000 Solare at Parker in Asia event 2 years ago.

  • 2001 Fattoria di Fèlsina Berardenga Vin Santo del Chianti Classico 89 Points

Italy, Tuscany, Chianti, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico

Dark amber colour, pungent nose suggest high alcohol but there is other nice element like caramel, toffee and espresso. There are a hint of oxidation as well. Nice and smooth palate and 16% ALC goes well to achieve a nice sence of balance with moderate sweetness and acidity. Caramel, honey and espresso on palate. Nice length and well made. It should goes really well with my favourite dessert Tiramisu.
