    We took a magnum of this to a Christmas/wine party. It was decanted. Initially it was ok, kind of so/so and DH and I felt let down compared to some of the other pinots in the line up. Retasted it again after hearing a guest gushing over it and it had simply opened up beautifully after an hour. Big lush fruit, complex layers of flavor with a long satisfying finish. It wound up being one of the best out of 5 pinots on the bar. Now I wish I had more of it!

This one kicked all the other chard's asses. A really special, special wine.
