Resolutely modern but impeccably made, silky, good weight (14%) but a wine of style and finese, seamless, slightly tarry minerality, plummy fruit with peachy, almost citrusy overtones, ripe tannins, very good length.
Recent bottling. Dulce añejo. Garnatxa Blanca & Tinta. Pale tawny colour; on the nose the spitting image of a 15 YO Bual madeira, intense, candied fruit, nuts; on the palate fresh and elegant, subtle red fruit flavours, medium-dry, lovely acidity; good length, hints of menthol and of caramel.
Barrique aged. Bright buttercup yellow; very clean and fresh grappa aroma; on the palate intense, silky-smooth, with lovely floral flavours; tea-like finish.
NV Billecart-Salmon Champagne Brut Réserve 90 Points

Seems to be slightly more forward and toasty than in days of yore. Lovely wine though, with the customary elegance and style.
