Introduction

After moving and unpacking I thought I would reward myself with some good younger west coastness. I was blown away the first two nights and a little disappointed the last night.

I am surprised that Peay and Waters don't get more play here given their style and excellence. Both were outstanding but the tremolo was a thing of true beauty. Best wine in a while. Everyone should be trying this.

    The first bottle to celebrate the new place.

    Pnp and followed for 4 hours. Medium purple and more French than wa Syrah. Peppery and meaty on the nose with some good medicinal hints. Beautiful silky palate with strong pepper notes and a lot of tannins,although all is balanced with great acidity. I wish I had 6 more so I could follow this as there is a ton of potential.

    Beautiful. Pnp over 4 hours. Light to medium purple such that I could see me fingers on the stem. Bright red fruit on the nose with lots of savory characteristics and a hint of smoke. Like a baby forgotten hills in the best way. Great balance and finish. I want a case of this. Probably could age some but singing now. Why wait?

    I was expecting the nice syncline purity of fruit and instead I got oak. Perhaps this was just too young as there was fruit hiding in there. Mouth filling and teeth coating wine which is very different from my expectations. I need to try 3-4 force majeure wines side by side to see if there is actually a difference in all the series.
