Alain Voge, Delas and Chapoutier Le Meal. Nice showing of the wines and many still have some nice aging potential. I was able to grab the last 4 bottles of the 2004 alain voge for only $40 a bottle.
2009 Ferraton Père & Fils Ermitage Blanc Le Reverdy 92 Points
France, Rhône, Northern Rhône, Hermitage
Not as good as the St. Joseph. Got better at home that night as I finished the last pour. Golden color. Apples, pear, apricots, caramel and orange peel. Medium finish but lacks depth. I would hold these.

Most interesting wine tonight. Funk, tart cherries, tobacco, minerals and raspberries. Good acidity and medium to long finish. Improved throughout the night.

2007 Delas Frères Hermitage Les Bessards 94 Points

Really good wine and will age. Cranberry, raspberries, blueberries, white pepper and spice. Elegant wine and showing a lot of fruit. Medium to long finish and nice acidity. Wonderful on own or with food.

Powerful wine with roasted meats, blueberries, spices and earth. Buttery finish. Interesting enough wine and could age a decade or so.

Rich wine with minerals, blackberries, pepper, plum, spice and wood. Massive finish and long. Complex and powerful. This has aging potential of 20 plus years.

2005 Clarendon Hills Syrah Brookman 94 Points

Comparing to Northern Rhone wines on this tasting and really not that different as I find Clarendon more Old World in style for an Aussie. Dark in color. Blueberries, spice, oak, vanilla and sweet fruits. Complex and long finish. Balanced and drinking well now. 2 hour decant.
