Maria Denton, Portfolio Manager at Moët Hennessy kindly invited me to a Krug champagne dinner. As I am a big fan, it was a great fun to drink some Krugs.
Charlie Palmer did a great job hosting us.
NV Krug Champagne Brut Rosé 95 Points
France, Champagne
Pale pink, delicate nose, a hint of strawberry essence and earth. Good precision and tension.

2000 Krug Champagne Vintage Brut 95 Points
France, Champagne
Elegant and delicate for a vintage Krug that is fresher than I expected. Very enjoyable but not quite the level of the 96. Drinking beautifully.

NV Krug Champagne Brut Grande Cuvée 94 Points
France, Champagne
Two bottles served. Classic complex MV nose, yellow fruits, coriander seed, white pepper and earth. The palate is very dry for a MV. Very good as usual.

1996 Krug Champagne Vintage Brut 99 Points
France, Champagne
Perhaps the best showing of this Champagne that I had. Purchased upon release, very fresh and delicate. Great tension yet decadent. Yellow fruits and yeast. Small and fine mousse, airy. Great showing.
