As it was Sandrone's first visit to Israel and since Barbara informed me about it before it was officially announced, I felt it was a must to show, meet them and enjoy the wines.
Barbara, good looking, with her fluent English, performed very well, even though she arrived with a night flight earlier that day.
Luciano was friendly as usual, even though he speaks only Italian.
Quite an enjoyable soiree.
2010 Luciano Sandrone Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore 88 Points
Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Nebbiolo d'Alba
fruity, tannic, still very young, good acidity, well balanced, warm alcoholic ending.

2008 Luciano Sandrone Nebbiolo d'Alba Valmaggiore 89 Points
Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Nebbiolo d'Alba
already starts to show maturity in aroma and flavours, softer, more round tannins, pleasant earthiness. enjoyable now but should be further aged for 3-5 years at least.
