Introduction
This was a lovely party that turned into a horizontal of Williams Selyem Pinot from 2003. Overall I thought all the wines were good but simpler than I had hoped. The coastland vineyard was the easy winner and seemed like the most complete wine and the only one that I would even think about holding, though it is drinking very well now.

Ruby with slight bricking; nice red fruits, balanced acid, clean, fresh, on the simpler side. 88

2003 Williams Selyem Pinot Noir Coastlands Vineyard 90 Points

Slightly darker, complete nose, black and red fruit. Slightly steamy; palate is riper, black fruits, creamy texture. The best of the flight, and easily the best balanced. 90

Ruby color; ripe black fruit, somewhat reticent; young, slight tannic bite, not drying, good black fruit; med finish. Enjoyable. Will likely improve in the short term. 89-90
