Nice nose of leather and earth. Light to medium bodied with tart red fruit and some leather. Not much depth or complexity but still nice. (my 6th, group's 2nd)

Tart cherry, celery seed, tequila nose. Seems a bit off. Palate not as bad as the nose, some raspberry fruit, green pepper, slightly bitter finish. (my 9th, group's 9th)
Nice nose of cherry, spice and leather. Lovely red fruited palate with lots of savory goodness including dried tobacco notes. Nice grip and a long finish. This may be near peak but it has many years of good drinking ahead. (my 1st, group's 1st)
Ripe black fruited nose with talcum powder. Juicy blackberry and black plum palate. Simple, youthful and fruit dominated but still nice drinking. (my 3rd, group's 3rd)
Ripe blackberry and licorice nose. Ripe blackberry palate, dense and youthful. The fruit isn't overripe but it's dense enough that this is an outlier in the tasting. (my 5th, group's 4th)

Reticent nose that opened a little to reveal black fruit, damp earth and a some green notes. Blackberry, leather, mint palate with a long dry finish. (my 7th, group's 8th)
Intense, floral, orange, perfumed, gewurtzy nose. Similar palate, orange marmalade, flowers, a bit of heat. Interesting but a bit much of everything for me and the heat detracts.
