Introduction
Luci Ancora hosted Mark Vlossak of St. Innocent to showcase a number of his 2010 wines with a wonderful tasting menu. Mark is a very charismatic and entertaining speaker. It was also a treat to have Mimi Casteel of Bethel Heights attending and offering insights as well.

All of the wines were quite good, but the Temperance Hill stole the show for everyone at our table. Thanks to Maria Smith and everyone at Luci for hosting this wonderful event.
2010 St. Innocent Pinot Blanc Freedom Hill Vineyard 90 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Pale gold color. Drank 1 glass over 20 minutes. Orchard fruit, Light citrus, orange blossoms, slightly tropical, pineapple. The palate is light-medium bodied, apple, pear, citrus, pineapple, mild earth, nice minerality on the finish. Excellent balance, elegant, very refreshing. 90+pts.

2010 St. Innocent Chardonnay Dijon Clone Freedom Hill Vineyard 91 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley
Light yellow color. Drank 1 glass over 20 minutes. Nose shows shell minerals followed by citrus, light florals, a little tight. The palate is rich and with verve, sweet grapefruit, medium body, very precise, pebbles, earth, subtle oak, toasty finish. The nose was opening more toward the end.

2010 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Freedom Hill Vineyard 92 Points

Dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 30+ minutes. Nose has gorgeous red fruits, cherry, berry, spices, dry earth notes, roses. The palate is lush and full, lovely texture, dark berries, strawberry, spice, medium plus finish. This was integrated and drinking very well.

2010 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vineyard 93 Points

Dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 90 minutes. Even better is the Temperance Hill Vineyard. This wows you right off the bat with a very floral nose, ripe pure aromas of raspberry and cherry, vanilla extract, moist earth and spice. The palate is deep and ripe, great purity of fruit, red berries, cherry, spice, intense, damp earth. Beautifully vibrant and balanced with a very long, intense finish. Definitely my WOTN. 93+pts.

2010 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Momtazi Vineyard 90 Points

Dark to very dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 60 minutes. Nose is spicy, coriander, mineral, darker red to black fruits. The palate shows dark berries, power, black cherry, a bit candied, sweeter, with some metallic minerality. A tad bit too spicy on the finish. Mark calls this the "Wild One" and you do get the sense of that. I think this needs a bit more time to even out.

2010 St. Innocent Pinot Noir Zenith Vineyard 91 Points
USA, Oregon, Willamette Valley, Eola - Amity Hills
Dark red color. Drank 1 glass over 45 minutes. This was a little more brooding on the nose initially, but it evolves nicely over 30 minutes to show spice box, Iodine, damp earth, a little arm pit, ripe berries and just a bit floral currently. The palate is rich, layered, full bodied, cherry, raspberry, boysenberry, spices. Medium plus finish.
