Had a very good time with the people at my table. Quite enjoyable to meet new persons.
The crémant did a very good job of opening up the dinner.
Food and wine were paired well.
Not a big fan of coconut, but DUÅ still landed on their feet.
The food at DUÅ is improving. Me like :-)
Inspiring choice of wines by the brothers.
2008 Domaine Barmes-Buecher Crémant d'Alsace 86 Points
France, Alsace, Crémant d'Alsace
A great starter and a very good cremant. Shy bubbles, some "odd" components including musty champignons. In the mouth it is distinct with fresh acids. Finishing short with earthy style. All at our table liked it.

2011 Jean-Philippe Padié Côtes du Roussillon petit Taureau 79 Points
France, Languedoc Roussillon, Roussillon, Côtes du Roussillon
Dark-red violet with a nos of newly fermented wine, cherry candy and horse manure. In the mouth it has a light touch with mature berries, some coffee notes and slightly short. This is a wine for an unpretentious pique-nique on a lazy day. One comment around the table was that if they'd put in as much effort on making the wine as they did with the label design...
Carignan-dominated CdR decanted 6 hrs. No-ones favourite. At DUÅ in Umeå (Sweden), "Umeå Saknar Kvarterskrog"

2004 Château des Tours Vacqueyras 91 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Vacqueyras
Spicy/peppery garrigue and mature scents of magnitude.
On the palate this is M- bodied but it works for my palate in this case because of its austere personality. Grippy tannins and good acids with plenty of fruit still there. This btl is blessed with mature aromas. Tobacco is bad for your health, but in this wine it lifts everything more than one story. Ready to go but will last.

2009 Château de Beauregard (Joseph Burrier) Fleurie Colonies de Rochegres 85 Points
France, Burgundy, Beaujolais, Fleurie
Very dark red, yet thin.
Promising nose with rich, dark aromas of tar and coffee.
In the mouth it is thin, yet still a solid wine. Slightly blurry construction but sporting all good things in a great wine, but... not enough of them. This was delicious but in the same uninspiring way as a rosé can be delicious. I simply haven't (yet) been blessed with the understanding of Beaujolais...
