Medium yellow. Distinctive glue aromas. Viscous to the point of slight oiliness but good acidity. Neutral flavors. Not my preferred style of white wine.
Darker than the regular cuvee. Blackberry jam on the nose. Surprisingly, this is more open than the the straight Bandol. Lush, pure fruit on the entry, greater depth, volume and texture than the former bottle, but then an explosive wave of tannin and back end acidity rein in the fruit. Exquisite components, but needs a lot of time to meld.
Similar in depth to the regular cuvee. Strict blackberry and herbal aromatics. Leaner, more linear and much more stony than the Migoua with a strong, long core of acidity. Almost Bordeaux-like in its structure and much more backward than its stablemate.
2010 Clos Ste. Magdeleine Cassis Blanc

Light yellow. Pear-like fruit and green herbs. Light but some glycerine to it. Nice acidity. Always a nice sip for the price.

2011 Château Simone Palette Rosé

Deep rose color. Black fruit aromatics. Viscous and tannic-quite the grip for a rose. Unique and once again strikes me with its red wine structure.
