More tension and more refreshing than the 2010, light and lively, Alpine herbal quality, ripe apple and citrus fruit, hint of bitters, lovely minerally length.
Bright and fresh but ripe, slightly bitter but ripe red cherry fruit, lovely balance between cream and bitters on the palate, hint of spice, completely different flavour profile from Burgundy, chalky coolness, good length.
Honeyed and soft but refreshing and elegant, like a light Mosel Auslese, but more grapey and without the slate; amazingly this has 14.9% ABV (!!) but that is barely noticeable except from some back-end heat.
