A couple of days after my Bday and several friends stopped by and I cooked up several courses and we dug deep into the cellar for some nice wines.
Several different olicpves and roasted Marconi almonds
Taken from a Wolfgang Puck cookbook, his Frank's chino chopped salad with jumbo lump crab and caviar.
A change to the menu mid day and created a roasted beet salad with herbed goat cheese and roasted hazelnuts. Served with Justin's bread with sweet butter infused with duck fat. Wow.
It's early June and that means Copper River salmon on cedar planks, a little olive oil and black pepper!
Several cheeses, apricot jam and Justin's fruit bread.
Thank you to all who helped with the plating which kept the evening on a good pace. Thank you to my daughter Liz, who helped out running to the store when I did not have the right ingredients and she was creative with some of the dishes. Lastly, a big thank you to my wife Linda who had the courage to allow me to cook for our friends.

Clean fresh and youthful. Imagine saying that a wine is young at 13 years old.
