2009 Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet 86 Points
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru
Classic Chablis nose, lemon and white flowers. Palate's a bit boring, lean with a biting acid impression, lemon and a touch of heat. Surprised this was the '09 when it was unveiled. (my 6th, group's 3rd)

2010 Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet 91 Points
France, Burgundy, Chablis, Chablis 1er Cru
Rich nose, explosive compared to the rest of the lineup, with ripe lemon and a whiff of pineapple. Similar palate, ripe lemon, tart pineapple, nice density and medium+ acidity. Not classic Chablis but I love the mix of ripe fruit and acid. (my 3rd, group's 1st)

2005 Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils Chablis 90 Points

Sweet, lush nose of ripe peach and lemon. Not as lush or ripe on the palate thankfully, lemon and minerals, medium+ acidity. Finishes with rocks and salt water. (my 4th, group's 6th)

Classic Chablis nose of lemon and flowers. Smells like spring. More lemon and white flowers in the mouth, just delicious and balanced. Second time I've ranked this first in a blind tasting, bummed I can't find it at retail anywhere. Anyone here want to sell me a bottle or two? (my 1st, group's 4th)

Reticent, stony, minerally nose. Similar palate, lean, seashell, lemon, mineral, iodine. Classic but a bit tight. Needs even more time. (my 5th, group's 5th)

2007 Vincent Dampt Chablis 1er Cru Côte de Léchet 92 Points

Rich, lemon custard nose. Ripe lemon palate, white flowers, nice density with great acid to balance. Only Vincent in the lineup, which is too bad because the '07 from Daniel is available at retail but not this one. (my 2nd, group's 2nd)

2005 Domaine Daniel Dampt et Fils Chablis 1er Cru Les Lys Flawed

Reticent nose, seaspray, minerals, lemon zest, just a hint of TCA. Palate is muted, some minerals and sea water. Given the lack of flavors and slightest whiff of TCA, I called this corked, but other experienced tasters ranked it highly. It may not have been corked, but either way it didn't do it for me. (my 7th, group's 7th)

1983 Château Sigalas Rabaud 82 Points

Metallic, copper penny, apricot nose. Metallic, dried apricot palate. Kind of shrill, a lot of the sweetness is gone. This bottle was over the hill.

Oaky chardonnay nose. Oaky, vanilla palate, medium+ bodied with medium acidity. Not bad, just not my style. Clearly a Cali chard.

2002 Kaesler Sémillon Old Vine 88 Points

Slightly oxidative, bruised apple nose with some ripe lemon. Not as oxidative on the palate, ripe lemon with medium+ acid and a great texture. I guessed ~10 y.o. Loire Chenin. Very nice.
