Mineral driven but with a certain richness which is appealing. Not buttery, but a little more heft that adds interest.

Much bigger and darker, more Gevrey like than Californian. Very different than the other producer's Gaps Crown I've had. Really liked it.

Had after some really nice Pinot's many thought this was the best. Great fruit and complexity with long finish. Leans to the darker more robust end of the spectrum.

This did not show that well. Hopefully just an off bottle. This was way more advanced tasting than it should have been at 8 years. Almost devoid of that great fruit I remember and quite rustic. Leather and cigar dominate, but not in a good integrated way.

2010 Alpha Omega Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard - South 94 Points

Generously brought by B and L. Dark ruby. Aromas of wood and cigar. On the palate this has great fruit, but the complexity is truly impressive for such a young wine. Very good length to the finish. Had this again on the next day and I think it was even better. Would give this a good decant or long slow ox.

Still plenty of time left. Flavors lean towards intense apricot and pineapple with just a hint of butterscotch. Always a treat.
