Pale, lemony white gold; the nose is still quite closed, loaded with minerals and citrus (lemon, hint of orange) some vanilla custard, but as yet no toasty evolution; on the palate incredibly taut and youthful for and 11-year old, with a wonderful, steely, acidic grip and energy, ripe lemon and cream flavours; very good length. An incredibly backward Vat 1, needs 3-5 years and will last a very long time. Drink now - 2032.

France, Champagne
Biscuit and apples, fresh and attractive but also a bit unremarkable today.
