This is the 6th event organized by a group of friends who enjoy world-class wines and exuberant dishes. Each tasting is organized around a theme whether it be a wine region, grape varietal, or a particular cuisine. This 6th rendition was centered the finest seafood and the great white varietals that complement it.
The first course highlighted Siberian caviar, Gulf oysters, and Smoked salmon; second course displayed live Louisiana Crawfish in Cajun boil; third course showed a Wild lobster and prawn Bouillabaisse; finishing with a U.S. cheese course proudly presenting the amazing and award-winning Old Chatham Camembert (Hudson River) and Rogue River Blue (Oregon).

2011 Château d'Epiré Savennières Cuvée Spéciale 89 Points
France, Loire Valley, Anjou-Saumur, Savennières
Low key chenin blanc that expresses its terroir through notes of chalk, pears, and some acidity. It is well balanced and very smooth however it lacks a bit of vibrancy.
