• 2010 Torbreck (Cuvée) Juveniles 87 Points

  Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley

  Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre (Mataro). Medium-deep purple. Expressive nose of cherry with white pepper in the background. Fruity and light on its feet, like good base level CdP. For a "commercial" everyday offering very much OK.

• 2009 Torbreck Shiraz The Struie 86 Points

  Australia, South Australia, Barossa

  Medium purple. Reserved nose of kitchen herbs and scorched earth. On the palate full bodied with for my view too much herbs in relation to the fruit.

• 2012 Torbreck Woodcutter's Shiraz 86 Points

  Medium purple. A fruit driven pleasant "commercial" Shiraz with not much more aspiration but solid performance on this level.

• 2010 Torbreck The Steading Blanc 89 Points

  Roussanne/Marsanne/Viogner blend. Medium yellow. Expressive nose of apricot, honey, flowers and oak. On the palate quite rich but fresh enough with a bit of minerality at the end. 89-90.

• 2010 Torbreck Woodcutter's Semillon 87 Points

  Light yellow. Discrete nose of citrus, almond and bakery. On the palate good balance but aromatically a bit harmless yet solid for an every day wine offering.

• 2009 Torbreck The Steading 85 Points

  Grenache/Shiraz/Mourvedre (Mataro). Medium purple. Very cherry, licorice "bon bon" style, a bit too much of that as a matter of fact. On the palate again very fruity but to "grapy & sweet" for my taste.

• 2009 Torbreck The Factor 90 Points

  Deep purple. Discrete nose of red and black fruit with spices. On the palate full bodied, with good fruit showing and a strong salty, kitchen herb note in the background but not as dominating as in the 2007 and therefore more balanced.

• 2007 Torbreck The Factor 87 Points

  Deep purple. Discrete nose of spice box, almost muted. On the palate full bodied, slightly oxidative at the beginning and then a very salty/spicy palate with Kitchen herbs dominating the fruit.

  Shiraz/Viogner. Deep purple. Expressive nose of dark cherry, strawberry with woody notes. Again on the palate full bodied with very good fruit, soft tannins and good acidity. A very good Aussie Shiraz.

• 2009 Torbreck Descendant 92 Points

  Shiraz/Viogner. Medium-deep purple. Expressive nose of dark fruit with spices, wood and and a bit of cherry. On the palate medium-full bodied with good acidity. Almost like a mini "Run Ring". I clearly preferred this to "The Factor".

  Grenache. Medium purple. Expressive nose of cherry, licorice, tar/smoke, quite complex. On the palate fruity and fresh at the same time. An interesting alternative to a Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
