I had promised to introduce something new to the gang and looked in the cellar. As if by luck or providence, the six bottles I possessed were a white and red (in the equivalent price ranges) each from three of the most important wine houses in campania (at least if you live in sweden and don't no anything about anything and grab what you can find on the very very small shelf space devoted to wines of this region...). Why not provoke a shoot-out!
Very sound quality and price-worthiness all across the board. Impressive how well made these were at this price point. Also interesting how different the three aglianicos were in terms of structure. From softish and modern (and young!) to aged and grippy and harsh but complex. Overall I think the whites just felt very complete and totally very good QPR.

Italy, Campania, Greco di Tufo DOCG
Opens with warm citrus fruit, a hint of marzipan, medium body, very good freshness and finish and balance.

2011 Mastroberardino Irpinia Morabianca Flawed
Italy, Campania, Irpinia
unfortunately, this was corked. Bought it in rome so can't return it to the store and get a refund, as is the case with the swedish government retail monopoly.

2012 Terredora di Paolo Fiano di Avellino Terre di Dora 89 Points
Italy, Campania, Fiano di Avellino DOCG
Clean, citrusy, fresh taste, medium body, great finish, perhaps a note of celeriac or something green and slightly bitter after a while, but it is elegant and perfect as aperitif or with some fresh seafood.
