An "F" wine: floral, filigree, finesse and fragrance. Fruit of pear, apple and peach, slate of course, a lithe and lissom frame that completely belies its weight and concentration (13% ABV), a very fine build; very good length. Excellent Ruwer typicity, quite a unique style, convincingly shows the Ruwer's potential for GG wines.
Only two barriques produced. Still very young but extremely attractive; very impressive and deep nose of black ripe fruit (cassis and even plum), slaty minerals and well-judged toasty oak; a palate of satin and silk, minerals, bright acidity, concentrated and rich, wonderful stuffing of sweet ripe fruit that completely hides the tannins, has the elegance, minerality and lift to balance the not-so-moderate weight (14% ABV); very good length, complete finish. A very sexy wine, marries opulence to charm and finesse.
