Tasting. An odd pinkish color. Bone dry with robust stone fruit and nutty hints. Quite firm. Didn't quite like the finish, which shows a bit of heat. 89.

2003 Zind-Humbrecht Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal

Tasting. Slightly floral, slightly exotic aromatic start. Ripe fruit with some pronounced, but subtle, sweetness (Spatlese level) that wasn't quite expected but can work well with rich food. Wonderful balance and length.

Tasting. No mistaking this varietal from the moment wine is poured in your glass. Intensely aromatic with intense spice and nutty notes, somewhat floral. Pleasant fruit with good concentration, balance of spice and overall balance. 89.
