    An extraordinary effort for a generic bottle. Vintage helps?
    Woody nose, delicious anyway, full of liquorice notes, earthy and caramel and milky chocolate hints.
    Too young for me on the palate: acidic, tannic and unbalanced at this point. Just needs time to integrate.

    Nariz amaderada, deliciosa de todas formas, llena de notas a regaliz, terrosas y de toques a caramelo y a chocolate con leche.
    Ara mi demasiado joven en boca: ácida, tánica y desequilibrada en este momento. Necesita tiempo para integrar todos los elementos.

    Bruno again as a cabinetmaker.
    Tar and wood all nite long on the nose. Perhaps some menthol notes but unexciting.
    Do you like to bite sequoias? Then that it is what you have here
    No finesse, nor elegance.

    En nariz brea y madera todo el rato. Quizás algunas notas a mentol pero poco excitantes.

    If compared with Rocca, also modernist, also a tough 2006, this is good!!!
    A little boring, maybe flat even but nice nose of cherries and roses.
    Tannic mouth cause that particular vintage but with a nice life ahead.

    Si lo comparas con Rocca, también modernista, también del duro 2006,
    ¡¡¡Está es buena!!!
    Un poco aburrida, puede que plana incluso pero rica nariz a cerezas y rosas.
    Boca tánica por esta añada en particular pero con una bella vida por delante.

    Paler than their pairs in colour.
    Vanilla punch at first on the nose. Like it if I feel a beaver.
    Some tar behind that
    Better on the palate, I agree this is a good future inside but take care cause is fading very quickly.
    To watch.
    De color más pálido que sus pares.
    Al principio golpe a vainilla en nariz.
    Gusta sí te sientes castor. Algo de brea por encima de eso.
    Mejor en boca y estoy de acuerdo en que hay un buen futuro pero cuidado porque esta decayendo muy rápidamente.
    Para vigilar.

    Salty, liquid of cans at first, reduced nose for sure.
    Elegant mouthfeel, smooth but firm.
    If develops its potential, as it will, this is going to be a great year.
    Never a single regret with this winemaker. Bravo!

    Saladito, al principio líquido de latas, totalmente reducido en nariz.
    Sensación en boca elegante, suave y firma.
    Si desarrolla su potencial, como hará, este va a ser un gran año.
    Ni un sólo lamento con este productor. ¡Bravo!

  • 2007 Roagna Barbaresco Vecchie Vigne Montefico

    Roagna Barbaresco...I had it before.
    Always with depth, elegance, finesse, different, aromatic and savory.
    Nose is promising but needs time yet, in my modest opinion.
    Palate is almost ready if you like this pretty acidity and a full-bodied wine. Needs to soft a little I think.
    Class in the glass.

    Un Barbaresco de Roagna... Ya lo he bebido en el pasado.
    Siempre con profundidad, elegancia, finura, diferente, aromático y sabroso.
    En nariz promete pero en mi modesta opinión todavía necesita tiempo.
    En boca está casi listo si te gusta la acidez alta y un bien de buen cuerpo. Necesita sofocarse un poco, eso creo.
    Clase en la copa.

Giacosa and Roagna are at a superior level.
Montefico impressed me the most...
