Crystal skunk and tar, slightly short on finish after midpalate. Impressive crystalline appearance and character; anise pokes out; sweet plum and bruised yellow peach without weight or plush heaviness.. nearly no tannins?! A unique, ethereal, enchanting Nebbiolo. 9/10
For the label, in 2005 changed name from Ghemme to Cantalupo. Much brawnier than last wine; more "Nebbiolo". Some tannins. Still a sense of lightness. Leather a bit. Slight unripe plum. Mealy wheat aroma on the residual in glass. Very good.
BIG time tar and skunk ; medium tannins and great acid. Roses behind the tar and brawn. Great stuff. But on this day I instead bought a bottle of Abaye de Cluny.
