Ultra ripe start, somewhat tropical with botrytis hints. Similar ripe and lush peach, papaya flavors with very good density and concentration. A little short on energy, so I wouldn't hold these much longer. If served blind, I could easily have been convinced this wasn't white Burgundy.

Ripe stone fruit aromas with well balanced, integrated spice. same ripe fruit on palate, but with lots of energy and a great deal of elegance, persistence and length for the vintage.

Lighter styled red and black cherry aromas and flavors, slightly floral, slightly spice. Good balance, slight firmness towards finish that bordered on bitterness. Probably just entering a peak drinking window.

Open several hours, not decanted. Very concentrated black fruit aromas and similar flavors with very big spice on both. Lots of power throughout with very good balance for a 2006. Clearly ripe and lush fruit converge with some large scaled tannins and structure, but this comes together in a thoughtful and elegant wine that still needs 5+ years in the cellar.

Open and decanted several hours before serving. At first this came across as quite ripe with lots of lush fruit and firm tannins, but sauvage and subtle spice also emerged with more air and time. A very good Hospices wine.

Open 4 hours before serving, of which the first 90 minutes were in decanter. When returned to the bottle there were very fresh and vibrant red and black cherry aromas and some meaty spice. When poured a few hours later, this was slightly more backward but still fruit centric and rich. Palate even further subdued with lots of superbly elegant tannins. This is a serious wine that will take another decade+ to be easy to enjoy, but there is clearly lots of good raw material and potential here. Not as pleasurable as I recall from when tasted in 2010.
