Beau 99 and 00: clearly one style, clearly quality, little or no breth, opens up in the glass with pure raspberry flavours, secundary notes and tertiary notes. a bit pruney. Great to drink now. ...but the 99 is fresher and went better with the food.

more structure than 00 , not so sweet and requiring more time to open up. Excellent with young goat (cabrito). This will probably be excellent for quite some years, but is certainly ready to drink if given a bit of time to open up. The entire table preferred the 99 over the 00, but both are really good wines. Probably the fact that this is a fresher expression helped. The nose of the 00 is to die for, but it did not stand up as well against the richly flavoured meat.
