Bottle 2. Opened on short notice. The nose was a bit shy initially, but deepens, structured wine, fresh, impressive, young. A question whether there is enough fruit to outlive the tannins. I like this style.
Varnish and honey, fine fruit with some depth; fresh, slightly bitter finish (orange peel). Moderate intensity and length. Perhaps a tad disappointing for a 2001.
