It wasn't that easy to co-ordinate the date, but after three trials we finally made it!
So all the 8 of us gathered: Ety & Hanan, Mati, Yigal, Eli, Yair, Adina hosted and myself.
Adina hosted generously with a over-flow of dishes on the table…
The two Priorat were quite good, even though the Vall Llach had a corky aroma… But the Roda Cirsion was excellent!
2001 Celler Vall Llach Priorat Vall Llach 91 Points
Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
magnum. decanted 7 hours in advance. surprisingly a relatively soft dry cork.
Color: dark red-purple-black, no visible signs of ageing, not even on the rim.
Nose: partially corky, though still rich, powerful, hints of truffles & balsamic vinegar, tar and wet slate.
Palate: rich, black fruits, integrated tannins, good acidity, smooth, savoury flavours, some minerality, long rich finish.
Top classical Priorat terroir, will age nicely for another decade.

1999 Clos Mogador Priorat 92 Points
Spain, Catalunya, Priorat
decanted 5 hours prior to drinking (cork red-stained till top)
color: dark red-brown
Nose: (surprisingly not oxidised since cork was all red), tertiary aromas, rich dark red cherries, earthy-spicy notes, dusty rocks. promising!
Palate: Full bodied, good acidity, firm tannins, good structure, good harmony, well balanced, a bit rustic, already mature, but can still age few more years, savoury flavours, medium finish.
