    Italy, Piedmont, Alba, Barbera d'Alba

    Cherry, slight spice. In the mouth cherry, juicy acidity. Fresh and nice.

  • 2006 The Wine Society Shiraz Very Old Vines

    Australia, South Australia, Barossa, Barossa Valley

    Reductive/closed nose that slowly disseminated over time revealing notes of plum, vanilla, chocolate and some leathery notes. All quite spirituous. In the mouth the wine is thick textured without being overtly tannic, alcoholic plum and chocolate. The alcohol is quite dominant. Meh.

    Italy, Umbria, Montefalco, Montefalco Sagrantino

    Oxidised, black and red fruit, slight spice and leather notes. In the mouth Medium plus tannin and acidity with anonymous ripe fruit, leather and spice. A little short. Meh
