Tapas Night. Everyone loved this Port. Decanted 8 hours. Cork was totally wet; disintegrated while opening. Used cheese cloth to filter. Aromas and flavors of cassis, oak, earth and dark fruits. Deep, concentrated flavors, elegant, silky. (Doris Yes!)
Tapas Night. Not a strong showing. Medium flavors and body, seemed to be missing the spine, backbone to bring the flavors, tannins and textures together. No one had anything outstanding to say about this wine. Perhaps provenance? Will wait for next bottle.
