Introduction
I was hoping for over an hour to taste through many of the 50+ producers' offerings, but ended up with less than 30 minutes and only visited with a handful and took notes on half of what I tasted.
2009 Fratelli Alessandria Barolo San Lorenzo
Italy, Piedmont, Langhe, Barolo
Tasting, brief note. Floral aromas to start, very enticing with lots of bright red fruit, orange zest and background spice. Similar on palate with moderate structure and reasonable ripeness. Needs time, but less time than what I'd normally expect for Barolo.

2012 Fratelli Alessandria Verduno Pelaverga Speziale

Tasting, brief note. Lots of spice, showcasing clove and black pepper with robust, rustic fruit. Good energy and good overall. I'd suspect it best on the young side.

Tasting, brief note. Ripe, forward with good concentration. More fruit than spice with some rough edges right now. Cellar for a few years. Good.

2012 Anna Maria Abbona Dogliani Sori dij But

Tasting, brief note. Charming aromatic start with fresh fruit and floral notes. Bigger and more masculine flavors, with good fruit that is well supported with acidity, just lots of tannins ahead of the fruit right now.

2008 Giacomo Borgogno & Figli Barolo Liste

Tasting, brief note. Floral and red fruit aromas with hints of licorice and allspice. Firm with lots of acidity and tannins, as well as dense red fruit. Needs plenty of cellar time.

Tasting, brief note. Very classic start with red cherry, roses and subtle spice.Lots of power with large scaled, fresh red fruit flavors. Good.

Tasting, brief note. Drinking nicely young with forward fruit and restrained structure that makes this easy to enjoy now and very pretty, if somewhat simple.

2009 Damilano Barolo Lecinquevigne

Tasting, brief note. Very enticing aromatic start with bright red fruit, flowers and some cocoa. Forward on both nose and palate, with good power and balance. Accessible now. Very good.

Tasting, brief note. Very impressive. Both black and red fruit on nose and palate with interesting layers of flavor. Good balance with an energetic "pop" at the end.
