    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Saint-Émilion Grand Cru

    Fairly dense with no sign of age.
    A modest nose, slightly vegetal, lanolin, and finally some fruit.
    A fruity modest unsophisticated wine, soft tannins, velvet in the mid palate, medium length - not for keeping.

    France, Bordeaux, Libournais, Castillon Côtes de Bordeaux

    Dark and volatile.
    Youthful, fruity nose, sweet summer fruit, oak.
    Fruity with heavy oak, medium length - very drinkable now but for how long?

    Medium dense colour, minimal age showing.
    Subtle, fragrant, vegetal nose, plus blueberries.
    Oaky but luscious fruity attack, soft, balanced and very fruity mid palate, fairly short - drinkable now but it's still a very youthful wine.

    Medium dense with considerable age.
    A developed nose, vegetal and meaty, herby sage.
    Quite an attractive mature taste, hinting at fruit, quite light, medium length - not for keeping.

    Dense showing age.
    A inviting nose, vegetal notes, flowers and a bit of fruit.
    Fruity, strong tannins, plenty of character, quite long - this wine's still maturing, needs at least 5 years.
