2012 Château Reynon Blanc 87 Points
France, Bordeaux
Clear, medium lemon color.
Clean , medium intensity, ripe exotic fruits, spicy and a few grassy notes as well, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intensity, medium alcohol, medium+/high acidity, lemon and lime juice, spicy again, mango and pineapple, still fresh, medium+ finish.
very good quality, high price, drinking now but can hold. Works great with food

Clear, pale ruby color.
Clean, medium intensity, raspberry notes, red cherries, a bit funky, indian spices, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (12.50%),medium+ acidity, tannins medium, fresh small red fruits, tannins a bit drying, alcohol bites through the thin concentration, short finish.
Acceptable/good quality, no surprises here, low price, drink now. You get what you pay for.

This is a blend of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Franc.
Clear, medium purple, young
Clean, medium+ intensity, dense, earth notes, some alcohol heat, raspberry, mocca notes, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body, medum intensity, medium alcohol (14%), medium+ acidity, medium tannins, alcohol burn, a bit thin but balanced, with raspberry, green bell pepper and red cherry notes, medium finish.
Very good quality, medium/high price, drinking now can hold, It would work better with food.

Clean, medium-/medium intensity, numb nose of red fruits, indian spices, light oak, vanilla hint, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (13%), medium acidity, medium- tannis, fresh red fruit character, strawberry, redcurrant, balanced, medium-/medium aftertaste.
Good quality, medium/high price, to drink now.

Clean, medium intensity, offering some complexity with a denser than the previous wine nose and aromas of capsicum, violet, black currant and berry, funky, cinnamon and nutmeg hints on a thin piece of leather, youthful .
The wine is dry, medium body, medium alcohol (13%), medium acidity, medium intensity, medium tannins, thin concentration again, med finish, balanced overall, showing some dark small fruit flavors.
Good wine, medium/high price, drinking now with a couple of years.

The wine is dry, medium body, medium+ intensity, medium+ tannins, medium+ acidity, meidum alcohol (13%), blackcurrant, plum, oaky notes, balanced, spicy midpalate, medium finish.
Very good quality, high price, to drink now or hold.

Clear, medium garnet showing deposit.
Clean, medium+ intensity, iodine, earthy, green bell pepper, capsicum, sweet oak, tobacco and chocolate, prune and blackcurrant, great decadent nose, developing rather than developed due to fruit notes.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (14%), medium acidity, medium tannins, palate copying the nose showing the same developing character, medium finish .
Outstanding quality, premium price (would retail at 90-100 euros), drinking now but can hold more. It was like travelling back and forth from Pessac Leognan to California

2002 Château Magrez Fombrauge 90 Points

Clear, deep purple color.
Clean, medium intensity, fully developed in the nose showing the classic old red Bordeaux decadence, fully riped fruit, sweet/vanilla scented oak, redcurrant, tobacco, smoke, creme de cassis, leather and chocolate.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intensity, high alcohol (15%), medium acidity, tannisn dissolved, high alcohol impact, lacking intensity in the mouth, chocolate spiced, black pepper, medium finish.
Outstanding quality, ultra premium price (would retail at 250 euros) , drink now rather than later.

The nose is clean, medium+ intensity, dense blackfruit character, violet, heat from the alcohol, sweet oak, jam-my, cinnamon and nutmeg, youthful.
The wine is dry, medium body, medium intenstity, high alcohol (15%), alcohol burn, cinnamon, trying to find balance still, too fresh, med finish.
Very good quality, premium price, drinking now can hold.

2002 Château Cos d'Estournel 94 Points

Clear, deep purple color.
The nose is clean, showing medium+ intensity, with a developing character of leather, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, ripe blackcurrant and plum, black olives, graphite.
The wine is dry, medium+ body, medium intensity, medium alcohol (13.50%), medium acidity, medium tannins that felt quite round for a wine from St Estephe, but then again its already been 12 from the vintage, green bell pepper, capsicum, black fruits jam, sweet oak, dense in the midalate filled with plums, juicy and a full medium+ finish.
Outstanding quality, ultra premium price, can age but its hard to resist drinking it now
