    Nose: aged meat, floral, smoke, petroleum, black pepper.
    Palate: A little meat, slightly watery, black currants. Aftertaste is quite short.

  • 1999 Domaine Gallet (Henri et Philippe) Côte-Rôtie 88 Points

    Nose: Gun powder, smashed dark olives, smoked sausage, pine needles.
    Palate: Watery, coffee, black currant, a little pine needles.
    Harsh acidity and overall unfortunately a little boring.

    Nose: Sewage water, slightly smoky, old water, green bell-pepper.
    Palate: Green peppercorns, green onions, very powerful acidity and harsh tannins.
    Lacks a little flavors to make it more exciting otherwise a decent wine.

    Lots of blackberry and cherry fruit on the nose with a slight touch of vanilla.
    Cool and refreshing cherry fruit on the palate with a solid structure. Singular at the moment but some potential is present.

    Incredible nose of liquid warm butter, cherry and warm rocks.
    Elegant and fresh cherry fruit on the palate with again a little butter.
    Lovely structure and finesse. A great bottle that really surprised.

    Lovely and intense nose with sewer, cherry and a little black pepper.
    Very intense dark plum palate with a pronounced acidity profile but still quite integrated into the overall flavors.
    Great wine with a long aftertaste!!

    USA, Oregon, Columbia Valley, Walla Walla Valley

    Extremely compact fruit flavors of both raspberry and dark cherries.
    Some burnt coal and oil barrels. Long and impressive aftertaste and the concentration is quite impressive when considering that the wine is still very enjoyable.
    Beautiful wine that I just adored.
