Pristine bottle, imported by Mentzendorff. Fully mature appearance, almost bricked through; wonderfully perfumed nose, rosehip, undergrowth, red earth, good depth, mature, warm but transparent; the palate is surprisingly rounded and ripe, good weight for the vintage, mature but lively, lovely balance, supported by good grip of firm but ripe tannins, mineral freshness, hint of nuttiness in the flavours; very good length, develops a cold tea note after about an hour. Very nice surprise from an off vintage. Drink up.
