Bready nose with some lime and melon. Lots of energy and verve to this wine. While the fruit may not be as crystalline as the monumental 2002, I like this a lot. A bit fuller and richer at this point.

Perfect color, just a beautiful shade of ruby with slight bricking. Beautiful aromatics of pomegranate, rose petals, and damp leaves. The palate was vibrant and energetic with lots of florals, ripe sour cherries, and hints of forestal tones. Incredible how fresh this tastes, could be mistaken for a 2000 or a 2002. A complete NSG that has a long life ahead of it.

Textbook 20 year old spatlese. Lovely aromatics of lychee, peach, petrichor, mango, and tangerine. Palate had great concentration and freshness with lots of tropical fruits, and backend acidity. Great stuff.

Clean and fresh nose of minerals, lemons, seashells, and flinty notes. The palate was powerful with sweet lemons, a bit of toasty influences and wet stone. Drinking in a great spot with lots of intensity and concentration.

Probably the best white wine from SQN that I've ever had. More balanced and precise and lacking the alcoholic edge that so many of their whites can have. Lots of sweet lemon, marzipan, and truffle made this rich, but it had a nice minerality that tied it together.
Tons of dark fruit, sausage, and anise on the nose. Very dark, very meaty. The palate was leaner than I expected, but did have incredible intensity. and power. Typically, I like my syrah to be a bit more floral, and mineral-driven, so this missed the mark for me. Was better than I had expected, though.
Nose of popcorn, key lime, flint, and fresh lemons. The palate was very fresh and vibrant with tons of sweet lemons, and limes. For a mediocre white burgundy vintage, this was very well made and enjoyable. Alan brought up a good point that while this isn't the most complex or layered Coche, it's a beautiful example of chardonnay.

Earthy, and funky nose with sour cherries, some pomegranate and cranberries. The palate was mineral-driven with lots of florals and red fruits. Definitely an acidic wine (in a good way) that has a real old-school elegance to it.

Super young. Has flashes of greatness on the nose with cherries, florals, and subtle earth. Very one-dimensional on the palate with just some red cherries and small floral tones. Hold for minimum of 5 years.

Lots of warm, red fruits on the nose with a touch of light florals. The palate was firm and pretty one dimensional at this point - mostly cherry and some cranberry. Hold.
Lots of lychee, peach, and mangos. Despite being opened 3 days ago, this held incredible freshness and energy. The palate was like sucking on a lychee candy - incredibly vivid lychee and mango tones. Very good.
From magnum. Impressive wine. The nose was funky and earthy...some small red berries, but mostly mushroom and an animale musk that was so gorgeous. The palate was energetic with a sizable presence, lingering on the palate for what seems like minutes. So deep with its light florals and peach tones, there were also intoxicating sour cherries, truffle, strawberry and mineral. An amazing bottle of wine.
Beautiful nose of fresh fruit, herbs, and some mushroom. The palate was incredibly elegant and textured with lots of white florals, some cherry, and lemon curd. Gorgeous wine...the total package, but drinking immediately after the 88 Rose Oenotheque put it at a disadvantage.
Lots of mint and dark fruit on the nose. The palate was pretty decent. Good dark fruit, some nice smokey notes, and that great old Californian earthiness. Didn't think this was the most profound wine, but it was quite enjoyable.

2005 Sine Qua Non The Petition 90 Points

Probably the best white wine from SQN that I've ever had. More balanced and precise and lacking the alcoholic edge that so many of their whites can have. Lots of sweet lemon, marzipan, and truffle made this rich, but it had a nice minerality that tied it together.
