Fully mature appearance, almost bricked through, perfectly limpid: wonderfully mature and fragrant, old but lively Rioja nose, warm, soft red berry fruit, undergrowth, smoky wood, hints of nut and spice, harmonious, lovely depth; the palate is delicate, silky-sweet, gentle and elegant, wonderfully rounded and juicy, fresh, hint of strawberry, almost resolved tannins still provide grip, slender but not attenuated; lovely length, just the merest hint of cold tea. A marvel to behold.

Black colour; rich nose of sweet black cherries steeped in brandy, and spice (cinnamon), deep, vibrant and fresh, cocoa, hint of the stalks; powerful, concentrated, bitter sweet, vermouth-like herbiness, supported by an impressive structural frame, intense but not too hot; very good length.
