Straw. Nose of white melons and minerals. Dry and direct in the mouth - tangy and refreshing. A smooth and round texture completes this tasty wine. (35% Pinot Blanc, 35% Pinot Auxerroise, 15% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Gris)
Classic muscat - light straw - high toned talcum powder on the nose. In the mouth, very dry with a bright texture. Flavours of talcum and Turkish delight pervade the palate. Very exotic wine.
Yellow-gold. Slightly dumb nose at present. With coaxing, it displays classic Pinot Gris aromas of white peach and river stones. Medium-dry in style but it has a reasonable balance of sweetness and acid that favours the sugar. This is a subtle wine with a nice sense of class but slightly flabby. Nice to drink now - three years. Certainly not a keeper, in my view.
Light straw. Beautiful and very fresh Gewurtraminer nose. Medium in style. Hints of bacon and honey on the palate and nose. Phenolic finish with a nice hint of alcohol. Not a particularly rich style of Gewurtaminer but it is very yummy and has nice style.
Light straw. Young and very fresh nose of green apple peel and a touch of honey. Very primary o the nose and in the mouth. Bone dry with nice concentration. Young, but the extract and concentration hints at a good future for an entry level riesling. Great value for money.
Lots of concentration and great presence on the palate. Wonderful mouthfeel and power on the age-worthy wine. Grapes grown on granite soils at a 45% gradient.
Shows some age. A nose with bottle age character and mineral and honey. Medium sweet and slightly spritzy on the tip of the tongue in the front palate. Quite long. This has the authority of riesling and has a good core of acid. Spice and floral notes that are not dissimilar to a Gewurtraminer. Slightly phenolic in style. Blend of Rieslng, Pinot Gris and Gewurtraminer explains the spicy and rich aspects of the wine.
Very refined nose that hints at liquer. The refined nature of the wine continues to the palate which features white peach, white pepper and agave notes. Medium in style with a complex finish. Very sophisticated.
Beautiful nose of rose petals and fresh lychee. Very sweet palate impression and already showing considerable bottle age character.Refined texture and finish. Excellent with munster cheese!
Meaty nose, very sweet. A concentrated wine that sadly comes across as slightly unfocused. Difficult to score as it does many things extremely well. I could see how some people would absolutely love the wine.
