A classic example of its style, an excellent vintage for Polish Hill. An infusion of liquid rock and lemon, tightly wound, austere even, immense mineral energy and drive, slate, quite closed at the moment but with subtle nuances of flowers and citrus; very good length. Will last a very long time, but I also like it now.
100% Carignan, ungrafted vines. Rich colour; sweet old-vine Carignan fruit, hint of oak, vanilla, liquorice; finely grained tannins, fullish body; good length. Lovely now as a food wine, will last 5-8 years.

A solid performance, nothing out of place, good fruit, oak and freshness, relatively restrained style, good flavours and length.
