Wonderful ripe and fleshy fruit, elegant frame, freshness and minerality, avoids any excess weight or power, displays classical finesse married to lovely intensity. Very young, but forward and already very attractive.

This wine was served at lunch during the nuclear summit in The Hague earlier this year. It is by far the best red wine from the Netherlands I have ever tasted. Silky, seductive, sexy even, lovely stuffing of ripe fruit, balanced and fresh, soft tannins, Pinot Noir like notes of rosehip and spice, perfectly judged oak supports and gives warmth, not even a hint of the usual anaemia, good length.

Completely different from my previous note in March 2014! This is silky and suave, with ripe Merlot cherries and hints of pepper and tar, good depth, balance and freshness; good length. I am still not as keen as Robert Parker, but it is certainly a modern, well-made, attractive wine.
