The tasting was led by the charming Hadar Alroi (Bravdo) at Bravdo tasting room, in a quiet & intimate atmosphere, which contributed significantly to the concentrated tasting.

  • 2013 Karmei Yosef Winery Cabernet Franc Rosé 89 Points

    Israel, Judean Hills

    Light rose brown
    Delicate red fruits aroma with green notes
    Med full bodied, integrated tannins, high acidity, fruity and spicy notes, some veggie, well balanced, very good harmony, sharp edges, structure, dry long finish.

    Blend: CF35%, 20%Metlot, 25%Shiraz. 20%CS
    Dark red
    Dark fruits aroma with sweet hint
    Full bodied, firm integrated tannins, good acidity, fruity flavors, structure, ripe fruits.
    Starting via blind tasting - the presence of 2012 CS, CF & Shiraz was evident, less of Merlot. Med finish.

    This wine is MEVUSAHL (i.e. instant warming by two electrodes to make it Kosher)

Closing

The wines are well made and I liked them all, some more than the others.

Also, the location among the vineyards make this a genuine visit.
