Introduction
Very interesting blind tasting of almost all producers of Chambolle Amoureuses. For me at this time point Le Moine, Mugnier and Bichot were the most open and approachable. Some bottles were already quite shut down. What an experience to taste all these bottles, many thanks to the organizer.
2011 Maison Roche de Bellene Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses
France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru
Light red colour.. Nose: very reduced, some red fruit coming through. Taste: match stick reduction, medium bodied, red fruit. Impossible to rate due to reduction.

2011 Patrice Rion Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Amoureuses 90 Points

Purple red colour. Nose raspberry, some reduction. Taste lots of fruit, cassis and raspberry, high acidity, some burnt wood. Good underlying material.

Purple red colour. Black fruit nose, pleasant. Taste silky black fruit, vanilla, fine acidity. Small amount of greenness. Long finish.

Purple red colour. Nose dark fruit and cherry with sous-bois and vergetal tones (stems?). Taste lot of substance, high acidity, black fruit, slight bitterness. Medium finish.
