Attended the lovely wedding reception of Belinda and You Ning. Congratulations to the beautiful couple and thank you for the great evening, wonderful company and fantastic wines
2004 Dom Pérignon Champagne 90 Points

Initial nose yielded aromas of citrus and strong mineral notes of crush stone. Reserved, austere, flinty, chalky perhaps reflective of the tough initial strife with the cold weather in Champagne. Reminiscent of the end of a long cold winter, however with hints of spring beckoning, and green shoots starting emerge from the cold stony ground. Whiffs of lemons and fresh tobacco leaves with soft mineral and lemon flavors. Overall drinking well, approachable, almost savory.

1985 Château Ducru-Beaucaillou 92 Points

Initial aromas of moist wet earth, like a walk in the forest on a warm spring morning. Hints of licorice and tar, nice ripe black cherries. Silky tannins, almost feminine. Staid and austere initially. Started opening about 2 hours after uncorking. Initial wet earth aromas replaced with fresh spices of cinnamon, cardamon. Strong mineral core, with abundance of black cherries, blue berries and cassis. Hints of tobaccos and graphite, all the while maintaining a good structure and elegance throughout the evening.

2010 Domaine Leflaive Bourgogne Blanc 86 Points

Initial nose of cream, stone fruits, with nice mineral notes. Such a vibrant wine, with hints of white chocolate, bees wax, ripe melons. Very approachable and drinking very well about an hour after uncorking. Mouthwatering, almost savory. A wine for a joyous occasion; white floral aromas abound, warm and lively on the palate.
