enjoying the private room at the TastingRoom wine-bar, before it was formally open to the public

    double decanting 2 hour prior to tasting

    tertiary ripe fruits, spicy & earthy aroma
    integrated tannins, still some level of dark fruits, minerals and earth, good acidity, well balanced, nice harmony, spicy & ripe fruity aftertaste.
    The wine is at peak and starting to lose from its fruitiness. Can still be aged for 5-10 years, but isn't going to improve any more.

    developed rich secondary & tertiary aromas
    full body, optimal tannins & bitterness, balanced acidity, excellent harmony, chocolate &coffee flavors, long ending. great value for money.

    After 2001 & 2005 Alion this wine's nose was much richer and of higher quality, dark red plums aroma with some vegetal character, a bit of meat, some oak influence with hints of mocha & cacao.
    Full bodied, grip tannins, refreshing acidity, well balanced with great harmony, wonderful fruity flavours: from strawberry to plum fruit, notes of oak & vanilla, mocha pleasant long finish.
