Pale yellow green; brighter, acid, butterscotch, lemon, green apple, butter; larger, structured, acidic blast and good body to support, sweet tart fruit on the finish; good.
Very light yellow green; perfumed white flower, white rock, elegant, lighter and crisp, almost mint, white clove developed with more air; good density especially on the midpalate, razor sharp, green apple, some butter, almost grainy or tannic, high toned finish; very good, my favorite of the day.
More of a greenish yellow; butter and richness, leesy, more on the yellow side of the fruit spectrum- not tropical though; larger scaled and more expansive on the palate, creaminess but good blast of tart yellow fruit, lemon curd; very good, more powerful than the Platt.
84% Cab, 8% Cab Franc, 7% Petit Verdot, 1% Malbec; dull garnet with dark core and lighter rim; some cooked fruit, evolved vanilla, dill, bay leaf, red currant; stewed cherry, spicy, fine tannin, cinnamon, tobacco, iodine, power, green pepper; palate is much better than nose suggests.
5% Viognier added; lighter extraction, darker core with magenta rim; nose screams white pepper with some black mixed in, smoked meat, cool climate Syrah, fruit is almost hidden though; smooth texture, plum, blackberry, dark cherry, some vanilla; very good; most popular from the tasting.
