Opaque core with thin bright reddish purple rim; luxurious nose right off the bat, caramel, violets, mint, glycerin, almost black pepper, perfumed; luxurious mouthfeel as well, sweet tart fruit, plush, spice, some prickle from the acid and alcohol, the finish was a bit peculiar; overall I liked this a lot.
Very dark core opaque with purple rim; blackberry jam, green pepper, cassis, dense and sweet, cedar; bigger wine on the palate, jalapeno, cassis, cedar, structured, dark and blue fruits, dense mouthfeel, softer tannin, tobacco, glycerin and a cooling quality to it; good.
Dark core with thin reddish purple rim; sweet berry, blueberry, plum, vanilla, dark raspberry, some vegetal; chocolate on the palate, dark cherry, raspberry, darker fruit, some grainy tannin, clove, cinnamon, tree bark, rounded, seems like it has some age; good.
Very dark core with garnet rim; green pepper, tobacco, cedar, plum skin, piney, some glycerin, leads with fruit rather than oak; ripe yet good structure, red and black currant, tannic, ash and smoke on the finish, slightly spicy; very good.

Very dark core with thin watery dull garnet rim; tar, reductive, stewed cherry; soft texture, sweet cherry, darker fruit, tannin clamps down later on, Cab-like, spicy, red currant.
Very black, absorbs the light, thin reddish purple rim; smoky, dark fruit, tar, ashtray, floral; wow, intense, dark fruit, leather, huge, sweet red and dark fruit, red currant; did not find any Chilean terroir in this wine, may need a few years or somehow they inoculated the greenness right out of it; good but I need more terroir.

2007 Martinelli Syrah Zio Tony Ranch "Gianna Marie"

Very black, absorbs the light, thin reddish purple rim; smoky, dark fruit, tar, ashtray, floral; wow, intense, dark fruit, leather, huge, sweet red and dark fruit, red currant; did not find any Chilean terroir in this wine, may need a few years or somehow they inoculated the greenness right out of it; good but I need more terroir.
