Cosmos, Mpls, MN
Tasted Thursday, July 3, 2014 by rocknroller with 266 views
My younger son wanted to go to Cosmos and do the tasting menu for his birthday. Cosmos has just transitioned to the Loewes Hotel Group from the Graves. They are currently interviewing a new executive chef and are promising a new cutting edge experience. As it was, the food is always very solid.

Light gold color. PNP, drank 2 glasses over 90 minutes with dinner at Cosmos. Peach, apple, citrus and subtle mineral on the nose. The palate is quite fresh, good acid, dry, peach, delicate, citrus, passion fruit, tropical medium finish.

2011 M. Chapoutier Luberon Blanc La Ciboise 88 Points
France, Rhône, Southern Rhône, Luberon
Pale green-gold color. Drank 1 glass over 20 minutes paired with scallops and fresh hen of the woods mushrooms. Worked nicely on the pairing, lots of minerality that hits on the front end and follows with citrus and orchard fruits wrapping around on the back end. Very quaffable Rhone blend.
