  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, light intensity, with aromas of oak and red fruit. Youthful.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of red cherry and strawberry. Medium+ finish.
  Good quality. Reasonably nice Village wine. Drink now, and enjoy over the next 5 years.

• 2011 Faiveley Puligny-Montrachet

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Puligny-Montrachet

  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with aromas of white flowers, green melon, apples and pears. Very mild oak. Youthful.
  On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium- body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of green melon, apples and pears. Medium- finish.
  Good quality. Drink now, and enjoy over the next 3-4 years.

  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, light intensity, with aromas of red fruit and licorice. Youthful.
  On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium- tannins, light body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of floral rose/violet, strawberry, and some licorice. Medium- finish.
  Good quality. Can drink now, and enjoy over the next 5 years.

  1er Cru "Aux Chaignots".
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium- intensity, with aromas of toasted oak, earth, and red fruits. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium flavor intensity, with flavours of dark earthiness, strawberries and cranberries. Medium finish.
  Good quality. Will improve with another 5-7 years of age.

  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of light toasted oak, and mix of red and black fruits. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, medium acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of dark cherries, toasted oak, sweet spice, and some earth. Medium finish.
  Good quality. More balanced and elegant and showing better than the Faiveley 1er Cru "Aux Chaignots" same vintage at this point in time.
  Will improve with another 5-7 years of age.

  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of toasted oak, strawberries and raspberries, mild spice. Medium+ finish.
  Very good quality. Showing good potential for the future. Will improve with 8-10 years of age.

• 2011 Faiveley Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Charmes

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru

  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, initially a little closed when first poured, with a little air and swirl it showed at a pronounced intensity, with aromas of toasted oak, perfumed flowers, fresh red fruits - strawberries, raspberries, red cherries. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, medium+ acidity, medium alcohol, silky velvety and round medium- tannins, medium body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of toasted oak, strawberries, raspberries, red cherries. Medium+ finish.
  Very good quality. My favourite wine of the tasting. Will improve with 5-7 years of age.

  Very good quality. Will improve with another 5 years of age.

• 2011 Faiveley Mazis-Chambertin

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Nuits, Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru

  Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, very subdued light intensity. Faintest hint of oak and red fruit.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ tannins, medium+ body. Equally tight and closed on the palate. Can feel the weight and depth of the wine but just not showing its flavours. Long finish.
  Very good quality, but this has gone to sleep now. Keep for 10 years before thinking of popping this.

• 2011 Faiveley Corton-Clos des Cortons Faiveley

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton Grand Cru

  Appearance is clear, medium intensity, ruby colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of perfume and flowers, toasted oak, red cherry fruit, spices, and a stony chalky minerality. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, firm medium tannins, medium+ body. Medium+ flavor intensity, with flavours of toasted oak, red cherry fruit, spices, and a stony chalky minerality. Long finish.
  Very good quality. Surprisingly open now, it should go to sleep in the next few years. Re-explore in 10 years' time when it is mature.

• 2011 Faiveley Corton-Charlemagne

  France, Burgundy, Côte de Beaune, Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru

  Poured into decanter about 30mins before tasting.
  Appearance is clear, pale intensity, lemon colour. Legs.
  Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with aromas of intense citrus-lemon, apples, ripe peaches, limestone minerality. Developing.
  On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol, medium+ body. Pronounced flavor intensity, with flavours of intense citrus-lemon, apples, ripe peaches, limestone minerality. Long finish.
  Apparently closed when first popped, the decant sure did wonders for this wine.
  Very good quality. A waste to drink now. Keep this for about another 6-8 years.
